The Percée du Vin Jaune
Each winter, a Jura village pierces the first barrel of the new vintage. At last, the Vin Jaune can come out.

Vin Jaune may only be sold after six years and three months of ageing. The vintage that reaches maturity is celebrated in early February at the Percée du Vin Jaune.
The festival moves to a different village every year. Streets are decorated, cellars open their doors and, at the heart of the day, a barrel is ceremonially pierced so the new wine can be tasted.
For us, it is the best time to discover the Jura: every winemaker is there, the wine takes centre stage, and winter gives the cellars their true light.
